Insutile Flexboard is a flexible tile backer board featuring precision-cut slots at regular intervals along one surface of the XPS core. These slots allow the rigid board to bend smoothly around curved walls, cylindrical columns, arched doorways, and any custom architectural shape — achieving tight radii that standard flat boards simply cannot.

Once bent into position and fixed, the slots are filled with adhesive to restore structural rigidity, creating a solid, curved substrate that is fully waterproof and ready for direct tiling.

How to Install Flex Board

Seven essential steps for successful Insutile® Flex Board installation:

Measure the curved surface and cut Flex Board to length using a fine-tooth saw.

Check Radius

Verify that the curve radius falls within the board's minimum bend specifications.

Dry Bend Test

Test-fit the board along the curve before applying any adhesive.

Apply Adhesive

Spread tile adhesive into the pre-cut slots and onto the substrate contact surface.
